    I would (early in the morning while it is cool) flip the circuit breaker to your furnace/AC and then remove the batteries from the t-stat. You want to remove all sources of power so that it will reset. I'd leave everything off for 10 minutes or so. Then, put the batteries back in and flip the circuit breaker back on. It should be reset now.
