    How can I do this?
    Hi. Um I have been writing short stories, and I am excellent at essays, but when I try to write a book, I ALWAYS get stuck. I mean, I have a perfect start and then, blank! :confused: :confused: :confused: can anyone help me??

    Keep a notebook of ideas. Write "parts" of the story and let them grow together. Write the ending, then work your way backwards. Make an outline first. Just write, let it flow and don't worry if it fits anywhere, then save that blurb in an idea file.

    Maybe I'd better take my own advice and get to work!

    Is there a movie similar in tone to your novel? Why not pull up the official trailer online and play it. Here's where it gets interesting - don't watch the trailer, listen to the music. Often trailer music has a driving beat and builds to a thrilling climax. If you are a visual person, it may help you to visualize new scenes and story arcs for your book. Good luck!
