    Grade 10 Math Sumamtive
Ok, I'm in grade ten academic math and our summative has me stumped. Our task was for one class to take a question that was given to us WITHOUT any numbers, just the question and a diagram, and describe how we would go about answering the question. The question was this:

You are an engineer who has entered a contest where you need to launch a rock off a cliff and hit a target. There is a fence between the target and the cliff, and there is a lake between the fence and the cliff. You cannot change the flight path of the rock or the angle of the catapult. Determine where on the cliff the catapult should be placed.

That's all we're told and the summative is tomorrow. I'm completely lost, as is the rest of my class haha. Could somebody PLEASE help me by describing what they would do.

there is math equations for angle and distance, also everything is in proportion. Remember those X Y and Z issues, where there are no real numbers used, just ideas.

We don't give you answers, but will try to jog a memory, best idea look in your book and see if there is something similar, this will use most likely several of the ideas you have worked with
