I purchased a house in another country with my old passport and now that the number on my new passport is different I am having trouble with the foreign country stating that my documentation is incorrect,

Every time you apply for a new passport, it will be issued with new number. This also applies to every countries.
What you should do is inform the concerned authority that you have a new passport and would like to update the info, and send them a notarized copy of your new passport.
