Hi I'm almost 18 years old and I was just wondering if somebody could help me figure out what is happening. It is now June 8 and I was suppose to get my period on June 4. I have always had a normal flow and now out of nowhere I missed my period. Lately I have had a weird taste in my mouth, sore nipples, crampy on and off stomach, I feel queezy throughout the day, it is uncomfortable to wear tight cloths like I used to be able to and lastly I find it uncomfortable to sleep any other way besides on my back at night. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday afternoon. It came up with a very light negative sign. I just don't know what could be happening because I have never been late before. Please help me.

It is possible it is too early for the test to pick it up. Your period may show up late this cycle, so give it several more days. If still no period, try another test.

If it is concerning you a lot and would like to know now rather than wait for a period or to take a home test, call your DR and ask for a blood pregnancy test, it's the most accurate pregnancy test out there and it can detect hcg hormone level sooner than with a urine test, on average a blood test will detect the hormone level about 11 days after conception as to a urine test shows about 11-14 days after conception, I hope this helps you though I know it is hard to determine when you may have conceived, I had that problem! But most people ovulate on the 14 day of there cycle on a regular 28 day cycle, so count the first day of your last period and go on from there, Good Luck
