    I need help understanging the calculation for the components of costs of capital and cost of debt.

    Well it depends which formula you'll be using to calculate the costs. Do you want the general concept of what they mean or the formula breakdown? Some of the popular formulas used are WACC, CAPM, dividend discount model.
