Received notification of a summary Judgement, What are my options?
I have a credit card debt that I am being sued for. I filed an intent to defend letter within the 20 days required. I never heard from the plaintiff or the court. I contacted the court several times. Today I received both a the filing for summary judgement and the notice of summary judgement in the same envelope. Is this right? Don't I get to go to the hearing and state my case? I was never notified of the Judgement hearing.

What can I do about this?

    Hello b:

Write a letter to the judge and tell him exactly what you said here. Ask him to consider your letter a motion to vacate the judgment. Send a copy to the plaintiff attorney.

IF you didn't get proper notice, the judgment will be vacated.
