    1. A glass jar contains 15 red marbles. Describe the probability of picking a blue marble.

    2. A number from the following list is chosen at random: 11, 35, 13, 25, 3, 69, 95, and 61. Describe the probability of picking an even number.

    3. The following coins are put in a bag:
    three quarters and one penny.

    Describe the probability of picking a penny.

    4. Complete the following numerical patterns:

    a. 1, 2, 4, 7, ___, ___


    b. 7, 12, 17, 22, 27, ___, ___

    5. Write the algebraic expression for the following:

    8 more than a number n

    The idea is to help you learn and understand the work, not to just "answer" it for you. If you keep getting people to just answer everything, you'll never have a clue.

    And I think it would be a whole lot easier to help if you wouldn't put 8 questions in one thread.

    Let's just start with the first one. The jar has red marbles. It doesn't mention anything about blue marbles. If that jar contains red marbles, logically, what do you think the chances are that you're going to pick a blue one?

    Second one is the same way. LOOK at the list of numbers. What could possibly be the chances of picking an even number?
