How old is the dog? Also, has he been fully checked out by a vet? Other than that, is he playful, pooping/peeing regularly?

Does he eat treats and other foods?

Perhaps you can try to feed him from your hand, and if it's successful, then try slowly moving towards the bowl.

Poodle hair is like yarn, was he groomed recently he could have licked himself or swallowed some hair that has formed a wool ball in his stomach, like a hairball with a cat. Also encourage him to drink, so his stools will be softer. Check water for too much copper like do you have copper water pipes at the house? Poodle is sensitive to that. Let the water run a bit before you fill his bowl so you don't use the stale water that has been standing in the pipes. Or give your baby boy bottled water.
