    VA child support and social security disability
    I am trying find out if the state of VA can garnish social security and/or SSI for back child support. I understand some states do and some can't, can Virginia?

    Yes, the SSI and VA checks can be garnished in the State of Virginia for back child support.

    Creditors cannot garnish the money, but it can be garnished for Child support.
