Outdoor AC compressor fan seams to have seized.
It seams that my outdoor AC compressor fan may have seized. I had recently removed to top cover to remove the rust & repaint it. I believe when my husband and I put the fan back into place that we neglected to make sure all of the wiring components were safely out of the way. I have this approx. 3 in. long "ceramic" piece with a black & white wire that goes to the top & bottom. Now here's the problem, only one of the white wires is still attached, on the top. It seams that when the fan was running it was hitting this piece and the white wire from the bottom is no longer attached to the bottom of this part. This white wire now has a worn down area from the blades, too. Can this be fixed by just sodering the wire back on? If not, where can I get an inexpensive replacement part? Don't know the make or model but this unit is over 20 years old & I can't afford a new one. Hope someone out there can help me out with this one.

You can fix the wires if enough of the wire is available. You can solder and tape the wires. Just reattach color to color.

I just had Granite kitchen countertops installed. Dark Beige and Black called Desert Armadillo. They have a black seam at the bullnose area where they connected with the top. Is this correct? I complained and the company stated it is that way.
