    Yes, I believe it is called sedge hammer. I had a terrible amount of nutsedge in my lawn when I moved in 6 years ago. I would pull the sedge twice a day everyday for two years.

    I don't have a problem anymore. You don't kill it by pulling it once, you are just trying to starve its roots by pulling it every time it peaks out. I hate the stuff and actually find great enfjoyment in pulling the stuff.

    It also helps if you let your ground dry out periodically.
