Windows 2000 is an earlier version of the Microsoft Windows operating system than Windows XP and is no longer supported by Microsoft. Generally, XP has better built-in device support, a snazzier user interface, and additional functionality. It is also the first Windows OS I've used that hasn't required the computer to be rebooted on a daily or weekly basis to resume normal operation. The differences are numerous. Is there something specific you're wondering about?
