value of fischer oil on canvas large
Hi, I have a very large ( approx 100cm by 50 cm) framed oil on canvas by, I think a german artist, by the name of "fischer". It was bought by my parents in the late seventies early eighties. It is of a farm scene with a thatched cottage and a large old tree in the forground and a farmer sorting crop in the distance, I have a certificate of authenticity to go with the art work. I am wondering of a valation of this artwork as it is currently sat in my dining room and as neither me nor my sister are particularly fond of the canvas we are looking to sell it. Any help or information on where I can find help would be most appreciative.
    Thanks

Does the style of your painting look anything like the style of the artist who painted the one that is on the following link? Doyle New York | European Art It's the one on the bottom, and you click on it to make it larger.

Thank you for your quick response, and it's a totally different style but the my canvas is of a country scene. . I have found a similar painting by the same artist on eBay but I'm unsure of there estimation of price, the link for that painting is ORIGINAL FISCHER OIL PAINTING on eBay, also, Modern 1900-1979, Paintings, Art (end time 26-May-08 20:29:06 BST)
Or I can photograph my own canvas and email pictures to you?

    Thanks

I wish my canvas was by that artist as I lioked the price it sold for!!

Feel free to put images right in the posts here. Do you know the first name of the artist?

I did check out the image on the link that you had posted, by the way. If you are looking for some kind of firm or negotiable price for yours, it would be best to be taking it to an art gallery or an auctioneer who can see it in person for an evaluation. We can only give you very rough ideas concerning possible prices here. And, that would be if we can find any additional information on the Internet or in books that some of us might have.

We don't guarantee things here concerning evaluations, but we can try!
