    Constant running water sound
We have a constant sound of running water in a slab home. No sign of a leak anywhere but hot water comes out of tap for a little while. Have discussed cutting leads to the hot water tank and re running to bathrooms overhead in the attic. Not sure this is correct action. Two lines lead into slab from tank. One for kitchen (no sound here) one to bath and half. Sound in both baths.

    Help us:eek:

Pipes busting in the ground does happen. Re-routing overhead is a good option. There are ways that can be used to locate where a leak is underground. Ground Penetrating Radar is one of them.

Hot is more likely to bust. What you can do is look at your water meter with everything off and just the hot off at the hot water heater.

If you do re-route the pipes, do hot and cold.

There does not have to be a visible sign of a leak.

If you do turn off the hot water for an extended period, turn the gas to pilot or turn the electricity off to the water heater.

    Been there, done that.

(sorry, I'm an admin, not...
