I have a male bluetick coonhound and a female chocolate lab. Recently a friend asked me if I was going to let the two breed together, but I am unsure of how they would mix. Are there instances of the two breeds mixing? If so, how did it turn out?

I don't think anyone on here breeds. We usually push spay and neuter. Too many dogs are waiting for homes, out roaming the streets, next in line to be gased to death because their time has run out. Try the shelters or go onto pet finder .com you should be able to find a combination of just about any breeds.

I am sure that there are cases of the two mixing. The result is called a mutt, and how it turns out is hard to predict.
