He said we can start trying!
Ok. Well I don't know if you remember me. I talked about worrying if I would be able to get pregnant and basically everyone said just try already and have fun. Well I talked to my husband and we've decided to officially try now. :) So happy and excited. Kind of nervous. I'm 23 and this will be our first child. Any advice? I'll let you know as soon as I find out that I'm pregnant.

Relax. If it does not happen on the first try (yea right) then don't get up tight. Just enjoy the time and experience. Soon enough you will be PG and then when you grow that watermelon in your belly you will be blaming him for ruining your girlie figure.

Good idea to start on a prenatal vitamin before you conceive... or a multivitamin with at least 400 mcg of folic acid. The folic acid is known to reduce the chances of certain birth defects that occur very early in pregnancy, so being on it prior to conception, as well as throughout pregnancy, is wise. A multivitamin with folic acid would be good for him as well. Think of it as insurance if you know your diets could be better. Make any healthy changes to how you live that you can... both of you. You may want to consider a preconception visit to your doctor, some people do and you will likely get some handouts that you might find helpful.
A good book, when trying to conceive, is Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's a good read for any woman to help them learn more about how their body works.
When you do fall pregnant, some hospitals, birthing centers, and midwives/OB offices will offer an early prenatal class... they can be beneficial as well. Good luck!

Thank you. My husband and I already have healthy diets but it couldn't hurt to add some more greens. I'll go get a multi vitamin and put us both on it.

My only advice is do NOT get disappointed if you do not get pregnant the first, second or even third time. Be patient and know that when the time is right you will conceive. Also you might want to try fertilityfriend.com it's a great website, to help you chart. GOOD LUCK!
