How do I perform a System Reboot?
My PC is infected with many viruses and worms and a whole bunch of other stuff. I just wanted to know if a system reboot will take care of these problems. If so, I just wanted to know how to perform a system reboot if my DELL computer uses Windows XP? Or what other suggestions do you have. Lets put it this way. I am lucky to be typing this message because it usually takes my computer 2 to 3 seconds to load a page. Now it takes about 3 to 4 minutes. Basically it took my broadband and turned it into Dial-up performance.

A Reboot simply means powering off and back on. It will not do anything to get rid of malware. I think you are thinking of a Recovery. This is using the Recovery CD or partition that was supplied with your system to restore the system to the way it came from the factory. This will wipe out anything installed to or saved on the PC since.

How to do that is different for each brand and model. Check your manual for specifics.
