    The Great Gatsby
I'm reading The Great Gatsby in class right now and totally LOVE it. I'm only to chapter 6. But my class got into a discussion over whether Gatsby truly loves Daisy. Any comments? Keeping in mind that I'm only through chapter 6 so please don't ruin the ending!!

This is a hard question because, in my opinion, Gatsby is more enfatuated with an ideal of Daisy more than Daisy herself. He ends up creating a picture of her that she couldn't really ever live up to, no matter how hard she tried.
