    Liability for magnetic car signs?
What are the liabilities you can incur upon your business or personally by allowing magnetic car signs on your personal/business vehicle and the vehicles of friends and family for advertising purposes?

If the business is inc. is it protected against law suits by cars in accidents with these signs?

My state is FL. Thank you in advance.

If we are talking about the signs like the ribbons used to honor our troops, I don't think you can be held liable except maybe for damage to the paint of the car.

Just sporting such advertising like a bumper sticker, decal, magnetic sign, etc. does not make the vehicle an agent for your business.

I know that when it came time to get insurance on my truck for my businesses, the issue of advertising using a sign on it was enough of a legal as well as money issue with how much the policy was going to cost, that I decided not to have a sign on my truck.

As such, I think that it would be best to be speaking with an insurance agent in your state who really knows the issues concerning this according to the insurance as well as laws of your state. I am sure that there will be many variables depending on whatever state a person is wanting to use the signage.

Well you could have some liability if the sign came off and hit another car.
On your own car, there is the issue that if you are using it for business purpose it has to be insured for business use.

But I can not see where magnetic is different from bumper stickers or stick on signs.
