Better to use a tampon if you want to go swimming while you have your period. Not only would a pad not work as well, but it would be noticeable that you are wearing one under your bathing suit.

Don't swim with a pad on! It will just soak up water and be really uncomfortable and noticeable. Don't swim without anything either, think about it, your bleeding in water that other people are swimming in and you may be able to see it. You need to figure out how to use tampons, they keep anything from "leaking". If you've never used them, get a variety pack and give it a try, just relax and ask some one to help if you need it.

This really isn't a question. I joined swim team because I like to swim, I am not thin, but definitely not fat. I have gotten so well toned and built in upper arms/calves/shoulders. This is after about 2 weeks, and the season is another 3 months. I suggest if you want a workout to really help...
