Can child support be paid by a business check?

I don't think it would matter as long as the amount and payee are correct.

Sure.. it's the same as if it were paid by garnishment.

First it should be paid though the court if at all possible for proof it was paid, and it should always state clearly what it is for. So there is no doubt later if you have to prove you paid.

I am receiving child support from my ex through his business account. It has only been a few months that he has been doing it... before it was from his personal account. I just want to make sure that it doesn't show up as income for me. He doesn't write on it that it is for child support. Should I write on the check itself in the memo part that it is for child support?

Show up where that it is income? You can write that it is for child support but it doesn't really matter because it is not being reported anywhere as employee income. Or are you afraid he is reporting it to the IRS as employee wages from his business account? He can't do that nor can he prove it. I wouldn't worry about it.

Now I understand you concern. It would have saved time if you had voiced that in your initial post.

The only way it would show up as income for you is if he filed a 1099 for it at the end of the year. Are the payments the result of a court ordered support agreement? If so, were he to file a 1099, all you would have to do is show the support order and he would get in trouble. How he is accounting for these payments is his concern not yours. If he tries passing it off as a business expense, then he risks getting in trouble with the IRS, not you. I would just keep photocopies of all the checks as a precaution.
