Why does my ex not speak to me, even though he said we could remain friends?

Maybe you can give us some background info so we can help. Sounds like he is either really mad at you or don't care. Much more info needed.

He isn't ready for a friendship with you yet, and is trying to get beyond some hurt feelings is my guess. Don't push it. Give it time and space.

Concentrate on other things and keep busy. Your life doesn't and should resolve around an ex!
More info.

Sometimes when people break up someone always say "we can still be friends", but they don't really mean it especially depending on how the relationship ended. It just a phrase to close with.

I definitely agree with that. My ex boyfriend said the same thing when he broke up with me. I think it was his way of trying not to look like a complete jerk... I haven't heard from him in over 6 months which is actually a good thing. Take it from me, you're probably better off NOT hearing from him!

He just used words he thought would make the breakup less of a "blowup". "We can still be friends" is at the top of that list.
When the person BEING dumped hears this, it disperses some of the anxiety and falsely leaves a kernel of hope you'll get him back through your friendly relationship.
Men's actions are WAY more trustworthy than their words. He dumped you and said "well stay in friends" and then didn't act like a friend. All that means is he dumped you, and you knew that already.
You've got other friends, and you're boyfriend-to-be is out there waiting for you to find him. Get to it girl, this story is done.

Most ex's always say, lets stay friends, they do this to try and be nice when they break up. The main thing you need to do is just not worry about them and move on with your life.

Or Unchanged? I ever saw a phrase or word in a textbook and it seems to be a Latin word/phrase.
It is odd if you repeat "All the Other Variables Remain the Same/unchaged" again and again in the paper!
Thanks a lot
