Are you "co-buyer" listed as owner on the title, or are you merely a co-signer on the loan the other person is owner.

If you are just a co signer, you have the right to pay the car payment if they don't.

    Fr_Chuck is right on!

Unless you are on the title or registration as an owner, you have no right to take the car.

Betcha learned something about co-signing a loan, didn't you.

OK, wife on title, is a lot different, you will have to fight out who gets the title and who gets the loan in divorce court.

    Chuck.

I really appreciate your answer. That was helpful. I did have her sign a statement that if she is more than 30 days late, then I have to file a relief with the court to try and settle this matter. Funny, you have been more helpful than my atty.
