So, here's the deal. My brother and his girlfriend just had a baby that was premature. His girlfriend is still married to another man and has 3 kids with him. My brothers girlfriend will not put my brothers name on the birth certificate even though he is actually the father of this new baby. She said that because she's still legally married the baby has to take her last name and her husband has to go on the birth certificate. Not only does my brother not like this but because he's not on the birth certificate he cannot go visit his baby in the hospital at his leisure. He has to wait for his girlfriend to go with him. Where can I find accurate information to disprove his girlfriend? Where does my brother go to have his rights protected and put on the birth certificate?
