    Does all vtec motors say vtec on top of motor
    If the motor doesn't have to say vtec on the motor what am I looking for on a motor if it doesn't have to say vtech.thanks someone if I get an answer.you can email me [email protected] with an answer.thanks again:cool: :cool: :o ,if there is a number I must look for on the motor what letters or numbers am I looking for.

    No, not all VTEC capable engines have the "VTEC" covers or other labeling to identify them.
    Knowing what VTEC means is more imprtant.
    For brevities sake, VTEC simply means: variable valve timing and lift, electronically controlled. Whew!
    What that means is better performance and reduced emissions with greater reliability to the consumer, meaning you: the driver.
    Tell us about the car: year, make and model with eingine type and we will hopefully be able to tell you if that particular engine is VTEC.
