    Shared lake property
My sister and I inherited some lake property from out parent. We are now retired and at some point need to sell the property as the relatives are increasing in number. My sister refuses to sell or find a way to make ownership fair and equitable. What can I do to resolve this issue. Thank you..

I don't know how you can force her to sell, but, with tongue in cheek, here's a little suggestion.

Tell her that since you do own 50%, you are going to convert your half into a time share for public use. Then politely ask her which 6 months of the year she would like to reserve so you can start getting the rentals line up.

Not sure what your relations increasing in number has to do with it, since it is just you and her that own it.

But this is the problem with an arrangement like this, at times there is little you can do. You may wish to talk to an attorney and try to force a sell but it will be hard if possible at all.
