Please read, is my fertility at risk?
Hi awhile ago it started hurting when I peed so I went to doctor and got some antibiotics. She said it urinary infection. Took all the antibiotics and it disappeard but a few weeks later returned for a few days, drank heaps of cranbury juice and it seemd to disappear. And like a month later it has returned again. Usually mod pain, sometimes just low to mod. Drinking heaps of cranbury juice. Its been like it for a day and a half, don't really want to go to doctors as don't have money at the moment for it. Could my fertility be at risk at all?? How serious are urinary infections ?

Urinary infections can create very bad problems. You need to find out what it is and what is causing it. If you don't have the money go to the City County health clinic, they will treat you for free if you can not pay.

Meconfused, once a medical provider has confirmed that you have a UTI, she/he will prescribe a medication to relieve the symptoms and will prescribe an antibiotic to treat the infection itself. Although there are also some effective herbal cures, discuss these with your provider. Sometimes symptoms go away even though the infection may be spreading to the kidneys. Sharp pain in the lower back may be a sign of kidney infection.

Damage to the kidneys and the urinary tract, as well as serious, possibly life-threatening problems may occur if a UTI if left untreated, or if you experience chronic UTIs. So if pain and symptoms persist, make sure you see a medical provider.
