Can I switch from a g-4 visa to a work visa?
I am dependent of my father who has a g-4 visa and am a student about to graduate from college. I wanted to know if there is any way in which I can stay here to work in the US once I graduate since I cannot apply for an OPT for F-1 visa holders. I do not care if I have to change my g-4 visa status. I have been in the US since 2003

As dependent of G-4, you may work only after receiving permission from the USCIS. Working without prior permission is considered a violation of the visa status. You may apply for permission to work if there is a reciprocal work arrangement between the U.S. and your nation.
