    Back ups and flooding
We have a tub that backs up in the basement when we use the washer, and the basement fills with water and we can't find from where, the subpump (which is new)is in the front of the house and it never kicks on when the basement floods, because it floods in the laundry room, can anyone tell me where to start to figure out what's going on:o

Look for the lowest fixture in your basement. The floor drain or a shower stall comes to mind. You have a blockage downstream from the washer. The solution would be to snake the line from the washer roof vent. Drop the cable all the way to the base and 20 feet more. Test by cycling the washer. Good luck, tom
