    Harbor Breeze Fan issues
I bought a harbor breeze fan 2 years ago. All working fine. Then one day, nothing. No fan, no lights. I verified that there was power to the unit (126.7v) I verified that the live/neutral wires were hot from the fan. I removed the lighting unit and put the live/neutral wires into a hot outlet and the light work perfectly (verified, not the switch). I reconnected the lighting unit to the fan and nothing. I also replaced the batteries in the remote control unit just in case. Still nothing. Any ideas? Can I removed the receiver at the base of the fan unit and then use the lights/fan manually? Could the receiver be preventing the fan from moving or the lights from turning on? Thank you for your help.

It does sound like a bad receiver. Does the fan have pullchains?
