    Stealing at work!
My close friend was accused of stealing 60 dollars out of her register. I think she may have talen it. She is worried that they will find it on camera and send the police to her house to arrest her. Can they send the police to her house or can they just fire her?

If they press charges, yes of course the police can come to where ever she is and arrest her or give her a time and place to come to the state for booking.

If what she did is seen on camera, then that's enough proof and they can send the police to her house and arrest her and if proven guilty, she can also get fired from her job.

I have mangaed a store before and the first thing is her employer probably won't want the paperwork. The employer might threaten to have her arrested if she doesn't pay it back.

I used to work at circuit city half a year ago, and the same thing happened there. This fairly new guy took like 200 bucks out of the register, and of course it was all on tape, but the thing is is that its mountains of paperwork to press charges against someone in the workplace that my manager didn't even press charges all he did was get the money back and then fired the new guy. What your manager will probably do is threaten to call the police IF she doesn't hand back the money in promptly manner. One thing makes me think though... how come she didn't notice those cameras looking right at her while she opened that register and took out money. Kind of stupid if you ask me though.
