    TV remote
I have a 20" Panasonic flat panel TV model CT-20SL14J.

The remote only works if you press an exact channel number. If you press the channel button it always goes to channel 2, no matter what channel you are in. If you continue to press the channel button, it goes to channel 3 then 4 and then 2 again and repeats.

It used to work that if you pressed the button channel it just continued to move up or down the number sequence. Example: If you were in channel 15, and pressed the up channel button, it would go to 16, then 17, then 18, etc. Now from 15 it goes to 2 then 3, then 4, then back to 2, etc.

Tried the Panasonic web site, google- no luck. Any thoughts?

My guess is that you need to go into the menus and find "Add/Delete Channels". Then, add the channels you want one-by-one. Since the exact procedure varies from TV to TV, I can't give you an exact procedure, but it should be fairly obvious once you are in the menus.

    Good Luck!

Sounds like soda or something spilt in remote, personally I would dissassemble remote, Wash board off with warm soapy water, and the soft rubber pad with all the buttons, dry off real well, Leave over something warm to dry out, then like wally says, numbers need to be programmed, Autoprogram may help.
