Water coming out from under Shower.
To start I have a one story home with a concrete foundation. We have been having some problems with our Master bedroom shower. When ever we take a shower there is a large amount of water on the floor. After looking at it for awhile I noticed that is was coming from under the shower itself. So my first thought was the drain, it to the cover off and looked for any visible signs and did not see any then to be on the safe side I got plumbers putty and filled in all of the space's that I though could leak. I thought that might have been the problem but no, I was wrong. So I just got a 5 gal bucket of water and poured it down the drain a couple of times. Then I looked at the place where the water was coming from before and nothing happened. I then turned the shower on and looked again and water came flowing out in about 45 sec. It is coming from the side where the pipes come up from the ground and run up the wall. Side not I took the cover to the shower knob off to look in the wall and it was dry (thinking it could be leaking from the shower head supply). I am at a total loss of what to do. Can you think of anything this could be?

    Thanks,

Sounds like you looked behind the knob at the valve, did you look where the shower head comes through the wall? If it only leaks when it's running it should be at or after the valve.

Would this be a custom Tile shower or a manufactured base and enclosure? If the latter does the floor give a bit when you put weight on it? Sure could use more details. Regards, Tom
