GE side by side freeze up in freezer
I have a GE refrigtor, Model #GSL25IFRF-BS. Ice dispenser went and motor was turning on and off. Replace mother board-ok on 3/25/08. Every thing working OK. Now on 4.15.08 I notice the freezer not cold. Also notice frost on back wall in freezer. Took back panel off to get to coils from inside freezer. One large block of ice over all the coils. Used hair dryer to defrost. And still iced up any clue? Serial #SH228015. I did not have this problem before replaceing mother board.

The defrost timer switch went bad. This is a common problem with self defrosting fridges. Happened to my side by side. What a pain.

Thank you but I thought the defrost timer was built into the mother board. I look up parts for my applance and just the defrost thermostat, and heater was was listed as parts for the system.
