    Tankless water heater connections
    Im considering a tankless water heater but have heard that the plumping should be copper. My whole house has been changed to cpvc water lines is this a problem with the tankless water heaters ?

    Hey Sparky:

    No.. no problem at all.

    Just fit the tankless water heater with copper pipe/fittings for say 24"- 36" off the water heater... then transition over to cpvc pipe/fittings with an approved transition fitting (all home supply stores sell these).

    I agree with Mark, start with copper and then make a transition. Since you are asking this question can we assume you plan to do the install and don't have tons of plumbing experience? What brand did you buy, model and is it gas, propane or electric? Soime tankless companies do not allow DIYers to install their units.
