    Honeywell stat to braeburn
I have a honeywell stat t8734c1432. I replaced it with a braeburn 5000. I have a staights cool outside condenser and a gas furnace in the attic. I have no heat after changing the stats. The honeywell is a 4 wire stat with a jumper between the y terminal and terminal 1. white is to w, red to r, green to g, and yellow to y.
On my braeburn 5000 I do not have a 1 terminal or an r terminal. I do have this, rc, rh, g, w, y, b, o. If you can help me that would be great. Thanks!

Looking at the wiring diagram for a Braeburn 5000, appears you need a jumper between the Rc and Rh terminals. The red wire is the 24 volt feed to the stat, Rh feeds the heat circuit, and Rc feeds the cooling circuit, and are separate in case there is two separate power sources for heat and cool control. You only have one24 volt power source, so jump out Rc & Rh.

FYI, the O & B terminals on the Braeburn are for heat pumps, and are not needed for your application. I cannot tell you why there is a jumper on the Honeywell stat since Honeywell makes it very difficult to find information on their products.
