    Another question F1 to H1B
Thank you! I have one more question. I am eligible to fill out the 1040NR-EZ form, but once I get to the end, because of the months that SS and Medicare were not deducted, I end up owing the gov't money. Do I really have to pay or is this a mistake in the paperwork?

    Thanks!

    Lelackie:

Social Security and Medicare taxes are not collected on the Form 1040NR-EZ.

If your employer failed to collect these taxes, it is his responsibility to pay them, not yours.

You need to re-read the instructions and re-check your calculations.
