    Reverse Co-Sign?
My brother needs a new work truck. His credit isn't good and he is going through a divorce. My mother does not want to co-sign a loan for him and he does not want to ask her to. That said, can my brother co-sign a loan for my mother so all the payments and responsibility fall on him and my mother can't be financially hurt if he defaults? His idea is to use her credit score to bolster his chances of getting the loan but does not want to make it risky for her.

Welcome to AMHD. Your mother better not sign or cosign unless she can afford to make all the payments by herself. Also, if the unit is financed, she (or he) will have to declare who the owner and primary drive is. Maybe he should look for a reliable, second-hand unit, and leave your mother out of it.
