You have been dating 1 month?

Yes, now is a good time to put your arm around her.

Yeah for sure... day ONE isn't too early to put your arm around her... after all, you two are going out now. I would even hold her hand. Why not? Don't be scared... she's going out with you... why would she reject you?

It is okay to put your arm around her. I think it's great how you are thinking of her and want to make her comfortable too.

    Gone, But Not Forgotten

In this case, it would help if we knew what age-group we are advising.
We don't judge, and this is nothing to be ashamed of since it's the most natural thing in the world for a couple. Just think of how far both of you would be willing to go, and be natural. Be aware of dangers and consequences if you go further than recommended for your age-group and are not careful. So, bottom line, talk to each other and get educated and do what comes naturally and safely.

Don't let your peers talk you into doing something you are not ready for just because they tend to brag a bit - since young people also like to play tricks on their peers just to see how far the others would go.

The more you communicate and get to know your 'gal' the more fun both of you will have, so for goodness sake talk with her, and keep up that warm arm around her unless she says to stop.

Good luck and have fun growing up!

    Keep us posted.

It's sometimes normal to not know what to do. Either being afraid, or shy, or just simply don't know.
Girls will like you much better just the way you are... being yourself.
YES, by all means, put your arm around her... around her shoulders while you walk, or around her neck, while sitting, etc. She will let you know if she likes it. Talking with each other is the best way.
Also, don't be embarrassed to ask her. "Can I put my arm around you?".
    "Can I hold your hand?".
I do wish you the best of luck. Remember, respecting a girl is the fastest way of having her like you.

I think that affection is WELL over-due. If you continue on in such a matter, she may get the wrong idea. What I mean by that is she may think you DON'T want to touch her, or something's wrong with her.

Needless to say, you defiantly have to let this shyness toward her go because if you don't, it will probaly resort to future problems with one another.

It's sweet you're thinking about her well-being, BUT by not making any implications of adorement, she may conclude you aren't interested.
