Filling out 1040 and W7- ITIN detail
    Hello,

I am filling out a 1040 and also W7 since I need an ITIN for my spouse. Do I leave her ITIN space blank or do I write something like "ITIN TO BE REQUESTED" in the space at the top of the 1040? The W7 instructions say to write "ITIN TO BE REQUESTED" on the extension form 4868, but do you do that for the 1040 as well?

    Thanks

On 1040, leave the space blank.
