You Know.. the "^" means "the power of..."

Since they are not like terms the expression you have given us is simplified as far as it can go.

Do you want to factor?

$x^{3}-21x^{2}+54x$

$x(x^{2}-21x+54)$

Now, factor the quadratic inside the parentheses and you're finished.

What two numbers multiplied equal 54 and when added equal -21?

Try -18 and -3

It probably makes no difference anyway, morgaine. I doubt if we hear from the poster again one way or the other. I regret posting anything. People like this are ingrates. You help them and they don't even respond back with a thanks or anything to even know they looked at it.
