I've dated him almost two years ago, after we broke up I got engage with my high school sweat heart wich he is much older than him, I ended up my engagement a few months ago because I love him still and I wanted to be with him, but then I heard he had a girlfriend then 3 weeks ago he got shot @ his job and he almost died and when I went to see him at the hospital It felt like it was the first time I seeing him for over 2 years and we hugged and kiss and now he still in the hospital but I see him now and then but ever since that kiss at the hospital I feel like we might get back. Well at least that's what I thought because now that I go see him at the hospital there's no more kisses only hand shake and cheek kiss like hello and good bye. So was he just being vunerable the first time with the whole incident going on? Or is it because he's so much on paine trying to recuperate from all the surgeries he had that he doesn't have time to think about love feelings? WHAT TO DO?:confused:

Give it time don't rush or pressure him
I think you should give him time to get better and don't be thinking about getting back with him you'll only get your hopes up and if it doesn't happen your going to be gutted so don't bank on it because if you do and it doesn't happen your going to be upset and disapointed just start as friends and see if it goes anywere but he might not want to go backwards he might have got over you and think its best to stay as friends and nothing more its always hard going back into a relationship that's been over for sometime because both the people have changed in so many ways and you'll try to be in love with that person but they won't be the person you fell in love with the first time

I think seeing him helpless, and needy, has stirred some old feelings and a few new ones to the mix. Otherwise nothing has changed, so why have all these thoughts, of getting back together. Could that be mostly you? Or is he giving off those signals?

Let me warn you of something. When we nurse someone back to health, and are there for them, we always expect their undying love, and gratitude. It's a fact of life though, that when the patient has healed, they no longer need a nurse. So back off, and see this realistically.
