I don't know where to post this so here it is..
OK well, I just feel bad and I want to get this off my mind. I don't know what to do about it... here it is...
A little while ago, my dad called me from work and said he locked his keys in the car. He works about 20 miles away and it was like 9 30 pm then. He wanted me to bring him his other keys and I told him I would be there in a little bit. He explained to me how to get there but I still had no idea but I pretended I did. I told my mom I was leaving and she wouldn't let me go because I haven't got to drive at night yet and it was raining and she didn't want me to get lost. My dad gets mad and yells and complains about every thing constantly. I didn't want to call him up and tell him I wasn't coming and my mom tried calling him but then he didn't answer and he called back a little later and my mom told him that she didn't want me going. So he just said "all i know is i better have my keys here when i get off work" he gets off work at like 4 or 5 am. But my mom won't take the keys to him because he's trying to sleep and doesn't know where its at. She just told me that he's going to have to figure something else out. But I feel bad for leaving him there but I'd get lost and in trouble if I left. I don't know what to do because all I really can do is leave him there. I just want to forget about it but I cant. I almost left anyway but there was a cat in the yard and I started playing with it and I almost brought it in. little did I know my mom was watching me out the window and opened the door right when I was getting ready to open it and sneak the cat inside. Then she told me to just stay home.

Even though you feel responsible, or caught in the middle, your mom is right. Your dad is an adult and in spite of him throwing fit about the keys, he will find his way home. It is not safe for you to drive on a rainy night, going to a place that will be difficult to find. Under all the bluster, dad wants you to be safe too.
