    PA part-time or non resident?
Hi. I'm filling out taxes for the first time for PA. I did work study for my school in PA. My permanent home address is in MD, but my school address where I spend most of the year is in PA. When filing for taxes for PA due to my workstudy in the state, should I file as a Part-Year resident, Non-resident, or Resident (although I do not think I qualify since I do not have drivers licenses and all that for PA)? Thanks!

Because you are a student from out of state, by law you are a non-resident of Pennsylvania.

However, this does NOT relieve you of the requirement to file a PA tax return.

Further, you must also file a MD tax return. MD will give you a credit for the taxes paid to PA so you will not endure double-taxation on the same pay.
