Wireless Stopped after crash - SOS
    Hello,

    I have a HP pavilion dv9010tx laptop
Windows XP professional Service pack 2

I was working on Adobe Premiere and had a film on render, suddenly the PC crashed when restarted I found that Mcafee antivirus and wireless connection not working

It says Windows cannot configure this wireless connection.

If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection, use that software (I haven't installed any such software)

If you want Windowss to configure this wireless connection, start
the wireless zero configuration service. For information about starting the
wzc service, see article 871122 in the Microsoft knowledge base on the
    microsoft.com website.

I tried switching the WZC service on from the services but it says failed due to dependency crap then I also tried changing the Regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CONTROLSET001>Se rvices>Ndisuio changed start value from 4 to 1,2,3 tried all of them and restarted it each time and then tried starting the WZC again but didn't work.

I desperately need your help as I'm stuck very badly.

I tried doing everything possible to get it on again, but in wain.

    NEED DESPERATE HELP :(

This sounds like a very complicated problem. Have you tried to RESTORE to before you were having the problem. Option #2 remove/install the wireless device through device manager. Option #3, if you have the restore CD, run a repair installation.

There are two ways to manage your wireless devices. Through the Windows XP utilities or through the utility installed along with your wireless card drivers. For example, if it is an Intel Wireless adapter, there will also be an Intel Wireless utility. You can usually access the utility by clicking on the bars icon in the task tray next to the time clock (lower right corner). Or look in your Program Files menu for the program group for your wireless software.

Also, typically, your active services are found in the CurrentControlSet and not the ControlSet001 hive of the registry. The 001, 002 and 003 hives are working copies.
