    Water heater
First thanks in advance and hope that I am in the correct area to ask a question about my water heater.
Burner on my gas water heater is on but there is no hot water coming out. Also when I feel around the tank in the bottom, it seems that the tank is cold. I have set the dial to hot to see if makes a difference, but I still have no hot water. Anyone has any ideas what it could be, and I have to say I am very inept when it comes to this type of work.
    Thanks Abthin

Do you mean that the ignition flame is burning? If not, that is the problem.
Otherwise these are the possible causes :
    -The thermostat can be faulty.
-The water pressure switch on the outgoing water pipe can be faulty.

If you open the hot water tap, does the main burner get "on"?
Replacement of both thermostat and pressure switch requires the services of a professional.
Gas water heaters should be serviced once a year.

    Success!
