Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Is the newest Harry Potter book better than the others or is it worth reading as soon as possible?

The Deathly Hallows is the ending chapter to the HP saga... if you haven't read the books before it, I'd recommend reading them in order. To me, reading the last book in a series is like reading the last chapter first! :)

Personally, I couldn't put the last one down... and when I did, I was sad that I was finished. But, that said, I'd read them in order!

I actually read the other ones already but I was just wondering if I should read it now or if I should wait until I go on a trip or a vacation and read it. BTW thanks for the answer.

Oh... I see... well, it would be great for a trip or a vacation, you've waited this long! When you do decide to read it, make sure you have at least a couple days of nothing to do... saturday/sunday... that way, you'll be able to read it in one sitting! :)

I am not a fan of the Harry Potter series, finding it a rather unexceptional pastiche of Tolkein's Lord of the Rings and C. S. Lewis' Narnia books for the pre-teen crowd. However, I have read the whole series and I'd say this: if you've invested the time in the first six books you'll definitely want to read the last one because it does wrap everything up rather nicely. ;)

Harry potter is best read in the order of the books... I don't think you'd get very much out of the last book, if you haven't read the rest of them.
