Windows xp has STOPPED recognising SONY HDR-HCE1 camera.
I use Sony Vegas Platinum to edit very successfully. I use windows XP and have a Sony HDR -HC-E1 camera. These have always worked well together. Suddenly Vegas and my computer do not recognise the camera. I also use a logitech webcam (not for any video editing) and the 2 have never clashed either, The webcam is still being recognised. Any ideas please?

If you still have the software disc that came with the camera, try re-installing it, I think you probably lost the driver or it got corrupted.

If no disc, sometimes it is built into the camera, or, you may be able to locate the driver online and download from there.

    Good Luck!
