Kissing and "butterflies in the stomach"?
I've heard people saying that when they kiss someone and feel butterflies in their stomach, that's a good feeling. I'm so confused though. When I feel butterflies in my stomach it usually is when I'm nervous and stressed out over something. I do not imagine that being a good thing to feel while kissing... (I've enjoyed kissing many times and in those times I didn't feel "butterflies) Does someone care to explain?

Because at a young age, or when desiring a kiss, one would normally be nervous

The last person I heard this from is not that young... more like 30, actually. I totally can't relate though, and want more insight.

Kissing is the first step to opening up yourself to another person. It's very intimate. The lips send a stimulous response through your ENTIRE body, tummy included.

The "nervousness" part of it is not an age thing, it's a danger response. When you're scared by a vicious dog, or a near car accident, you get similar butterflies in your stomach. Understand now?

Relationships are a similar risk, and your body knows it. The nervousness of opening yourself up this way can be quite stimulating in this manner. It's weird psychochemistry, and kind of cool, too, when you think about it.

So, kissing for the first time is like almost falling off a cliff and just catching yourself... woooooooooooooooeeeeeeeee! Look at the butterflies...
